A young girl's dreams of continuing with her education after primary school are hanging by a thread due to the incapability to pay for her secondary school fees. Fifteen year old Tracy Moraa Nyaribari from Kajiado county scored 362 marks in last year's KCPE , at the Athi River primary school but is not able to join Matuga girls school due to lack of fees. The fourth born in a family of six used to trek daily for more than 10km from Kitengela to Athi River. She is the first in her family to sit for the examination, as her older siblings dropped out of school before class eight. Her mother who is a single mom, says she cannot raise the fees needed as she depends on menial jobs to put food on the table. The family lives in a single room semi permanent house paid by well wishers and is calling on well wishers once more to give their daughter an opportunity to pursue her dreams.
